A small band of American militia troops face an overwhelming British force

The Brits maneuver their cannon and Scotsmen into position and attack!

The Americans fall back as the British troops advance

The Royal Artillery and Scottish units close in on the Militia's position

Suddenly American Continental reinforcements arrive - and concentrate their fire on the British canon before they can prepare another shot

The cannoneers fall about their piece

The wounded are taken off the field of battle as the American Patriots try a quick flanking maneuver around the main British force

Encouraged, the Militia return to the battlefield and fire at the fleeing British who turn and let fly one last volley of their own

But that parting volley allows the Patriot's flanking maneuver to cut off their retreat and the British general comes out to negotiate a surrender
A cheer goes up from the Americans

The irregulars fire at some English and Scottish skirmishers still in the trees

A sharp-eyed revolutionary points out a sniper

The fife and drum play while the out-flanked Brits await terms for surrender

The winning troops are in high spirits

The captured
Scottish troops
look on woefully

A young patriot bravely defends his country

Two happy participants enjoy
the day and a well earned rest
